Superb Antique Chinese Mid 18th Century Qianlong Famille Rose 14.5cm Bowl

A superb c1770 Qing dynasty Qianlong famille rose bowl. Beautifully hand-painted with bright rose blossoms and green leaves to the exterior with a brown rim. To the interior of the bowl is a single blossom to the base and a beautiful inter-locking scrollwork band to the rim. The coloured, raised, detailed enamels are still wonderfully bright despite being over 250 years old. A really lovely piece with an early design that was much copied later on by English porcelain manufacturers.

The bowl is in superb condition other than two original firing splits to the rim. Its extremely unusual to see this but both have been overglazed so they are definitely original to manufacture. The smaller of these two splits has further developed an associated vertical hairline.  Please see photographs for more information.

The bowl is a very good size at ~7cm high and just under 14.5cm diameter rim to rim. It weighs 345g. Hardwood stand not included.
