Hello, this was bought new a couple of weeks ago. I used it to pull up an apple tree and another shrub. Overkill really as it is a monster puller, but it made the job so easy. I used nylon webbing straps, so nothing abrasive on the pin or hook. In the past I used a truck ratchet strap tensioner to pull up a tree and, although it kind of worked, it was a pain in the neck. Having to reset the strap every foot of pull. I know, totally inappropriate use of tool! Anyway, thats why I wanted to use something better this time!

The fact you can pull the whole length of the rope without stopping is so much better than a ratchet puller where you need to reset it every few ft. I got them out with one pull. You can also feed back out using the other handle point to release the pressure which again makes the job so much easier.

I rested the main unit on a tarp to keep it dry and clean. The wire rope was on the grass. The cardboard boxes are tatty (they are totally insubstantial for an item of this weight).

For the sake of the courier, I would like to try and sell collection only. So I'll try that first. It's very heavy. Happy to drive a few miles to meet half way if you like.

It has the 11mm wire rope. Chunky. I think there are many brands of the same item that are basically the same. Not sure on that though.
