Listing
is for an Alienware M14X R1 14" laptop. The laptop has been tested with it's default components with the addition of an SSD to POST and to windows 10 desktop prior to listing.
Bad Points:
- This laptop is in poor cosmetic condition. It's rubberized plastic housing has gone sticky and been scratched off heavily.
- There is a mark on the glossy cover over the lcd, but the lcd itself seems fine.
- The speakers sound terrible, they are possibly blown, externally connected speakers were tested & sound fine (not included)
- The motherboard connector for the optical drive is missing it's fastening clip *see photos* the drive is working using a piece of cardboard to hold the ribbon cable in place
- The bottom cover plate has many broken clips and does not stay attached very well. Cannot confirm if it has all or the correct screws either
- There is no battery
Good Points
- Laptop seems to function well other than the above bad points. A 128gb ssd was installed with fresh windows 10 installation, all drivers installed and laptop tested with a 3d gpu demo.
- A brand new 180w power brick is included
Laptop overall function seems OK but sold as is for parts or repair due to the bad cosmetic condition, broken optical drive clip, rear covers clips etc.

Listing is for the Alienware laptop with new power brick & ac cord only.
The above info is to the best of my knowledge and from testing. Sold as is for parts due to mentioned issues.
