By cutting of a small (11 degree less than a square ) chamfer on the barrel of a weapon
it eliminates minor defects in the muzzle cut that can reduce shooting accuracy. Provides good barrel protection.
Considering that a bullet flying out of the barrel must simultaneously come off all the rifling, if any edge of the muzzle cut is asymmetrical or damaged, there will be no accuracy.
The exact angle sometimes varies one or two degrees from 11 and is still called a target crown, but through experimentation and time, 11 is accepted as the optimal universal angle for this type of target crown.
The tool is made of high-speed tool steel, after which it was hardened, polished and sharpened.
