DASHBOARD INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR BMW X5 3.0d (maybe other models?)

This is from a 2005 car.

Please note the part number is: BMW 62.11-6 942 217 and this may be specific to the year of your car. My car is 2003, and the unit had a slightly different layout to my own (but still worked for test purposes).

It is in good order as far as I can tell. I bought it second hand for my own 2003 X5 basically to test the wiring to my own dashboard. I swopped them over and ran the 'cluster check' test. All the instruments worked during the test and the LCD computer info panels were intact with no pixels missing that I could see. However two of the five dash lights which simply twist out of the back of the unit are blown ( see photos for location on rear of unit). These are cheap and easily replaced and I would replace all 5 before reinstalling.

If you cluster is now working this is an easy swap - two small screws and three plugs on the back. 5 mins work. You tube can show you how.

Whether you need it for testing a unit in your own car like me, or you need a replacement this should do the trick. Note the unit has previously been 'opened' as can be seen by the broken security tape.

Collection is possible, and happy to help you swap it in your car whilst you are here, but please note no returns. It's cheap enough and I don't want a broken unit being returned if you car perhaps has an electrical problem which damages it.

Thanks for looking.

Best wishes Shaun

* Please note if you are overseas buyer, please check if VAT and/or duty is payable when you import into your country. I can’t control this but it could add considerably to your purchase price. Ebay automatically add the VAT for your country and pay it direct to your tax authority. I never see that element of your invoice which is added by Ebay. The main Postage rate listed is for UK mainland only.

** Please wait for an invoice if you buy from outside the UK so I can correctly calculate the postage (Hopefully to save you cost) once I know where you are.
