The Household Hints cards are loose with no album and are an incomplete set of forty three cards which have the reference numbers: 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49 and 50. The cards are believed to have been issued by W.D. & H.O. Wills in 1936. There is varying discolouration apparent to the cards and various stains, dirt and foxing marks on them as well as some scuffs, creases and imprinted marks with some cards more prominently and detrimentally affected than others. The card with the reference number 12 is torn on one side. There is some loss of printed detailing from the image on the front of the card with the reference number 49 which appears to be a result of the surface being torn. The edges of the cards are varyingly scuffed and worn with some indentations apparent in them as well as softening and rounding to the tips of the corners some of which are dog-eared with some cards more prominently and detrimentally affected than others. There is some curving to the cards which is most apparent when they are stacked together. The approximate size of each card is 36mm x 67mm. The approximate combined weight of the forty three cards is 33g.
