Land Rover Series 3 88" Hard Top, affectionately known as 'The Colonel' due to be owned by a local Army Colonel from 1990-2002, then a family friend, again living locally purchased it in 2002, and we purchased it from him in 2018. I am afraid we don't know much about it's life pre 1990, except that the Colonel purchased it from Fairlands 4WD in Guildford.

First Registered on the 12th October 1977 the vehicle is now classified as historic so MOT & TAX Exempt and has covered 83,000 miles.

The vehicle has the 2.3 petrol engine fitted and  also has overdrive which makes driving longer distances, or on bigger roads much more pleasurable. It has had plenty of work over the last few years which has included new shocks, tires & a rear diff cover along with a few cosmetic upgrades which includes led indicator and brake lights with grills.  It never fails to start even when left for a few months, four-wheel drive, low range, and the overdrive engage as they should and the gears change up, down and into reverse without problem.

The body work is reasonably straight with a great used patina, it's fair to say the paintwork is a few shades of green with a few blemishes and the odd dink, but I think it looks like a land rover of this period should! The underside is clean and appears solid, please see photos and the wheels are finished in Limestone. The interior it pretty tidy, again see photos, has been fitted with a gun rack and the rear bench seats have seatbelts.

The vehicle is located near to junction 5 of the M3 in Hampshire, any inspection is welcome and I am happy to answer questions.
