2009 Renaultsport Clio 200 Cup
The car has the most desired Recaro seats and Speedline wheels and is a full "Cup" example, with the shorter steering rack & gear ratios and stiffer chassis.
I have owned the car since 2011 and have really looked after it, with no expense spared. The car has been garaged throughout its life and is in great shape. The body and paintwork is in perfect condition, free from any damage or corrosion. I have used the car very little of late, and it is a shame to have it gathering dust in the garage, this is the sole reason for sale.
All the usual issues that these cars suffer from have been encountered by me and have been put right at some point in its life. Parks Renault rebuilt the gearbox for the common synchro issue, I have fitted a more robust spring as the Renault units are bad for breaking, the exhaust flexi pipe has been replaced, and stiffer engine and gearbox mounts fitted to reduce movement. The dephaser was replaced at the last belts service, I have had the driver's side Recaro seat re upholstered for bolster wear, the front suspension ball joints have been replaced a couple of times also. The brake discs and pads are fairly recent, and the car is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres all round.
Maintenance has been primarily carried out at my work - Stewart Roden Motors west of Edinburgh, which is a well known Ferrari, Porsche and Supercar specialist. The car comes with a decent history file with most MOT's, invoices and a full service history.
The car has not been used as a track car, and it is completely standard with the exception of the Milltek Exhaust - which sounds great! In 2012 I had the crumby Renault speaker system replaced, this includes a subwoofer in the boot, which probably isn't to everyone's taste (or even mine now) but everything still works and sounds great, this could be easily removed by a specialist or someone with the know-how if not wanted. I can supply the OEM head unit and speakers with the car if desired.
It is becoming difficult to find good examples of these cars given what they are - many are modified and have been used as track cars, many have been driven hard and under maintained - my car is not one of those cars. If you're looking for a nice one - this is your car.
