Hi sadly and after a lot of thought it’s time to part with my mkl golf convertible.  I have owned the car for a few years and in which time I have done a lot of work to it. 

it started life as a GTI but l had it converted to a mk2 golf carb engine with an automatic gearbox.  

I did the car and conversion originally for my wife and i to use as she will only drive an automatic.

The car was previously owned by a friend of mine for many years and kept 

in his garage, hence the low mileage showing around 86,000 miles. 

The car had a full  glass out  re spray before I bought it including the engine bay. Then I had it fully re commissioned with new brakes, new bottom arms, anti roll bar bushes, wheel bearings. New exhaust down pipe, brand new Webber carburettor, also had a new windscreen. 

 New stance adjustable coil over suspension fitted, and 15” BBS RS replica wheels 

The car has also had a new black.mohair electric roof and genuine electric windows fitted 

All of the above work has been carried out by a local vw specialist local to me 

The car now has a full 12 months MOT. Also had a 4 wheel laser alignment camber set up etc  drives really really well now.  all ready for summer 

So the reason it's now up for sale is neither my wife  or I seem to find the time to drive it, so it's just been kept in an indoor storage unit and not getting used. I have other classics . Too many  if I'm being honest so time to sell some on… 

The car really is in lovely condition inside and out as the photographs show and deserves to be enjoyed and used
