A collection of nine TOMY CHUNKY CHANGER VEHICLES from the 1980's. These toys are stylishly designed basic pre-school transformers, simple 'puzzles' which convert from geometric shapes to simple vehicles with a few basic adjustments. I think these are examples of all the vehicles TOMY made minus one, a dumper truck. They were ll sld individually I think, but may have also been sold later in packs of two or three durng their life, I can't quite recall.

This collection has been played with, but they have all been well cleaned and sanitised. They all wok but there are a few small issues.

1/. For some reason the red mouldings on the helicopters become brittle. There are two small clen glued repairs on the hinge clips for the helicopter skids. They are not vry noticeable but I suggest this item should be treated with care due to the brittle moulding. I have shown two close ups in the photos for your reference.
2/. The helicopter 'blades' are hinged at the rotor head, but the hinge pivits are losing their friction fit, so the rotors c droop. Application of a little heat and squashing the hinge may tighten them but thats up to you.
3/. Some of the white mouldings on some items have suffered a little UV damage and yellowed but it's not too bad.
4/. The bulldozer has a small glued repair to the blade mount. It's invisible and works fine but rotating and retracting the blade mechanism should be handled with care. This is a design weak spot on this item.
5/. I think the Tomy printed logos may have worn off on some of them.

Overall I think these are more appealing to adult creatives and designers like me than children due to the purity of line and shape. It requires a certain amount of imagination to see the vehicles which are still quite abstract but look great on a shelf.

Quite rare to get nine together. Thanks for looking.

* Please note if you are overseas buyer, please check if VAT and/or duty is payable when you import into your country. I can’t control this but it could add considerably to your purchase price. Ebay automatically add the VAT for your country and pay it direct to your tax authority. I never see that element of your invoice which is added by Ebay. The main Postage rate listed is for UK mainland only.

** Please wait for an invoice if you buy from outside the UK so I can correctly calculate the postage (Hopefully to save you cost) once I know where you are.

As a professional Toy Designer I have collected a personal private collection of toys, things I particularly liked, over 40 years. The collection is now slowly being listed for sale as I have a clear out and empty my loft ahead of a future house move.

Many items have never been opened and are in original packing, many have been on display in my home but are mint. Most have been dry-stored out of light and many are mint and boxed or with very superficial marking from original shelf storage from the toy stores I bought them from. I know serious collectors like the highest quality, and details matter, so I have taken many close up photos of each item I list. Please look carefully before you purchase and make sure you are happy with condition. Any serious specific damage like folds or label removal damage etc will always be noted in each listing.

Collectors know that even 'as new' unopened boxes and blister cards may have very minor wear on corners, edges and a few small surface marks or dints from their removal from original outer case packaging, and from being placed 'on shelf' in the stores from which they were originally bought. Blister carded figures for example often had slight distortion of the backing cards from new.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries or questions about any item, I can always take more photos to show you a specific area if you are unsure and I encourage buyers and take a look at items over a cuppa where possible.  My items are top notch and described to the best of my ability, but if you’re at all unsure please just don't buy. I really want to avoid protracted discussions about condition after a purchase.

I have many other toy items in my collection to sell from ' Model Kits', 'Construction sets',  'Action figures', ‘Dolls’ and many many ‘Die cast’ cars in varying condition from ‘well played with’ to ‘Mint’. Plenty of Porsche toys (800+) of all shapes and sizes, makes and models.
