On offer here is an antique, ceramic, under-glaze transferred COLD CREAM jar or "pot lid" as they are more commonly referred to. These particular Cold Cream lids were commissioned with an appealing Gothic Print font, & with a fruit and scroll border surround. They were marketed widely, and a pretty popular commodity back in the day. Most of these jars were used ca 1910 or so, and this one would date to around that time.
The lid measures almost 2 3/4" in diameter and stands1 3/4" tall when lid is in place on top of the base section in it's normal position.
