This charming scene of a mother and daughter, attending to a butter churn, is one popular artwork recalling the various chores people commonly performed in the past, before the advent of modern industrialization, when many people moved into the cities and found work in factories. This tile is signed by the artist at its bottom, left, corner.

Verso is fully marked with Mintons name etc and badge, a little grubby but no mortar/adhesive residue.


Condition: Excellent

  Naturally, one can easily frame this tile for display, if desired.

 The design is free of any transfer imperfections, or kiln damage, and is crisp and vividly printed. A uncommon condition for such a tile after the passage of  138 years!
