This listing is for a used Akai GX-4000D Reel To Reel Pause Knob


This is not a new part.  It is used and may have some minor cosmetic issues like small scratches etc, but for functionality they will work just fine. Over all I give it a 9 out of 10.


We harvested these parts from an Akai GX-4000D reel to reel that has been in our bone yard.  We are now parting it out and putting all of the good used parts here on ebay.   Please see my other listings for more parts from this reel to reel.

 We are a two person outfit in central maine with a combine 78 years of experience in component level repair.  We hold several degrees and certifications.  We have also been warrantee techs in the past for Fender, Ampeg, Audio Centron, Crete, Yamaha, Mackie, Kustom, Peavey, Sharp and Toshiba.  We use only the highest quality components in repairs we do, and we test test and test some more each product we repair.  On average we allow units to run continuously for several hours to several days to make sure they will work as described and to spec.  We are absolutely thorough about making sure nothing leaves our shop substandard.  We will state in each auction we list weather we worked on the unit we are selling and we will disclose what we worked on.

Quick note on shipping.   

 We package everything in card board boxes.  We make sure there is at least 3 inches of space between the product and the edge of the box.  We make sure the fill material is of quality and will protect your item from poor shipping practices.  In large heavier items over 20 pounds we double box the item.  So shipping may appear high.  These are the reasons why.  We charge exact shipping.  We do not profit.  So if the postal carrier you choose charges us $x than we charge you $x.  No gimmicks or tricks here.  We have been selling on ebay for years and make sure to read our feedback to see the types of items we sell and see our happy customers. 
What we will not do for you.Under size our packaging so you can save a buck and chance having the item you buy from us potentially damaged in transport to you.
What we will do for you.Make sure your item is nearly bullet proof....well maybe not bullet proof but certainly disgruntled postal or courier proof.  
We will combine shipping on items if it make sense to do so.  Example:  If you bought 4 rubics cubes from us yes we will combine, but if you bought 2 large stage speaker enclosures then no.  We won't combine as it would exceed limits of UPS or other couriers.  We will allow for local pick up if you email us in advance.

We pride ourselves in excellent service.  Please be patient with us and we will do everything we can to make sure that your experience is the best in the business.  I encourage you to read through our feedback.  If you have questions about any of them please let us know.  You will see a couple of negative feedbacks over the 24 years we have been in business.  Sometimes you just can't please people.  Note that a vast majority of our sales have been selling items that hit over the 50 dollar mark.  Of the couple of negative feedbacks you will note that they were small dollar items with unreasonable customers.
