Once installed, you are able to access your iPhone’s maps, playlists, contacts, and compatible apps such as Spotify or WhatsApp. This CarPlay install will yield the same result as a ‘genuine’ Mazda CarPlay kit which is sold for over twice the price.

Siri compatible allowing you to have incoming text messages read aloud and responded to without taking your hands off the wheel. Navigation of Apple CarPlay features can be done with the optimally positioned multifunction Commander control alongside steering wheel controls, just as you normally would.

Android users receive Android Auto functionality once install is complete. The firmware must be updated first before installation commences. Older version CMU software being used will likely result in the Carplay/Android auto-compatible USB hub not being recognized. The software must be v70.00.21 or later.
