VERY RARE!
1963 Royal Copenhagen Aluminia Child Welfare Figurine
THE VIKING Boy Figurine Bud Vase #3230

Rare and beautiful collectible figurine from Royal Copenhagen's Aluminia Child Welfare Series.
SO rare that I could not find a single one available for purchase anywhere on the internet!!
The design of this piece is by Herluf Jensenius (JUS) and Hans Henrik Hansen (HH)
featuring a colorful small viking boy figurine/bud vase.
The figurine is made of faience or fajance pottery and has a glossy finish.
It measures about 6-3/4 inches tall (17 CM) and about 3 inches wide at its widest points.
Expect the normal crazing that seems to be inherent to almost all vintage faience pottery!

It is signed with both the original Aluminia hallmark and the initials of the designers, JUS AND HH.
The letter "S" is the initial of the actual paint artist of this piece.
The Aluminia factory was founded in Denmark in 1863.
In 1882, Aluminia bought The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory.

This figurine is part of Aluminia's Child Welfare Figurine Series that was produced each year in Denmark from 1941-1965.
The figurines were made for the one year only, so this piece was only created during 1963.
Perfect for art enthusiasts and collectors alike!
