This is a rare opportunity to buy a possibly unique guitar from the famous Jackson-Charvel custom shop in the USA, as denoted by the "JJ" on the serial number (02 04 JJ). The body of the guitar is dated 8th July 1996 (pre-Fender). In common with the Jackson JJ series, three dice are inlayed on the twelfth fret. What makes this guitar possibly unique is that it bears the Charvel brand on the headstock, as opposed to the more common Jackson version, fitted with Jackson branded tuners/machine heads.

The previous owner (to me) purchased the guitar from the Guitar Center in the USA and was told that "it was from an artist's collection". This could be true, but I am more inclined to think that it started off as a prototype.

As you can see from the photographs, the guitar is immaculate. In my ownership, it has never been gigged The guitar has been professionally set up and features;

  • Transparent Korina body
  • Quarter-sawn Maple bolt-on neck
  • Scale - 25.5" & 22 frets
  • Nut width -  1 5/8",
  • Schaller bridge
  • Bridge pickup - Seymour Duncan SH4
  • Neck pickup - Seymour Duncan SH2
  • Charvel branded hard case

I used to be an avid collector of Jackson/Charvel guitars, but as time has passed, I have moved on and play in a country band, so I no longer need such an awesome instrument.

If you look elsewhere on Ebay, you will find a Jackson equivalent  guitar selling for just under £2,000. I want to move on and pass this guitar on to someone who will play it and appreciate it. Hence, I have put the it into auction at, what I think, is a reasonable start price. So here is your chance to grab a bargain!

Thanks for viewing and good luck.
