Ladies' sz 14/16 ( see sizing chart photo as store bought clothing differs in sizing from pattern sizes) natural color stable cotton drill cloth Civil war era/ Pioneer mid-1800's corset. This corset would fit a person with a 40-42" bust and a 31-33" waist. Note: gap in the back where it laces up will vary depending on body measurements. 
Made for moderate body shaping and moderate reduction of waistline plus stability. Features metal front busk closure, 9 rows ( per section of corset) of plastic boning plus metal boning at both sides of center back closure, metallic grommets w/ cotton lacing strings, cotton twill tape casings for boning and cotton double fold bias tape edgings at both top and bottom.
This would have been your basic corset in those days ,meant to be worn over a chemise.
