I got this base in probably 1994 and have kept it ever since. I’m primarily a guitar player, but this was always a great backup base to have for my gigs and it sounds fantastic plugged in directly for recording. I have a few other bases that I favor at this point for the music that I do And it’s time for 1 to find a new home. It’s not perfect. It’s great for a 30 year old base has a few scratches on Picard from use, but the action is fantastic and it really sounds incredible.Live or in studio.

From The web:

Fender created the Precision PJ Bass from 1994 with active pickups. The bass guitar has a classic design and is equipped with modern active pickups, which provide a more powerful and versatile sound. The model is a Precision Bass, which is known for its deep and rich tone. The PJ configuration means that the bass has both a split-coil Precision Bass pickup and a single-coil Jazz Bass pickup, allowing for a wider range of tonal options.
