Dort verhinderte eine preußische Armee unter König Friedrich II im Siebenjährigen Krieg 1758 das Eindringen der russischen Hauptarmee unter Wilhelm von Fermor in die Mark Brandenburg, die Kernprovinz des preußischen Staates.

The illustration shows Prussian horsemen in the battle of Zorndorf. There, a Prussian army under King Frederick II prevented the Russian main army under Wilhelm von Fermor from entering the Mark Brandenburg, the core province of the Prussian state, during the Seven Years' War in 1758.
