In 1959 Kirov’s Factory got special order to develop reliable wrist
watch-chronograph. So “POLJOT” cal. 3017 with big column-wheel movement and
45-minute counter was born. It was developed under the big secret.
Strela-Poljot intended only for command structure of Soviet Air Forces and
Troop of Cosmonauts and was issued under military inspection. It never was on
open sale. When the pilot retired special commission solved leave or not the
watch for retiring pilot. In 1965 pilots-cosmonauts Pavel Belyayev and Alexey
Leonov with the chronograph STRELA-POLJOT for the first time in histories of
astronautics left in open cosmos. With the same watches have awarded first
pilot-cosmonaut Jury Gagarin. So Strela-Poljot was the first chronograph
visited cosmos and the first watch visited in open space.

Watches are in a fine condition. Perfectly work and well keep time. Chronograph
function works perfectly. Chronograph start-up is made by the button located
above a clockwork crown. The second pressing the this button will stop a
chronograph. Having pressed the button
below a clockwork crown you will return chronograph indications on 0.
Actually watches it
is much more beautiful than on a photo. The mechanism looks on much better than
