• Beschreibung: Das Genrebild zeigt das Interieur einer belebten Bauernstube mit einem Zeitungsleser und einem Mann mit Pfeife. Im hinteren Raum sitzt eine Köchin vor einer Feuerstelle und bereitet ein Mahl zu. Dahinter schwatzen zwei Landleute. An der Wand hängt ein Bild mit der Datierung 1675.

• Description: The genre painting shows the interior of a busy peasant's parlour with a newspaper reader and a man with a pipe. In the back room a cook is sitting in front of a fireplace preparing a meal. Behind them, two peasants are chatting. On the wall hangs a picture dated 1675.

• Condition: Very good condition. With isolated pale foxing spots at the upper margin. The corners of the sheet are slightly bumped.
