Unbekannt (20. Jahrhundert), Ruine einer gotischen Kirche in englischer Landschaft, um 1900, Bleistift

  • Beschreibung: Gerahmt von Sträuchern und Bäumen, blick die Betrachtenden auf eine Kirche oder Abteikirche, von der, so scheint es, nur noch die Grundmauern stehen. Kein Kirchen- oder Vierungsturm ist zu sehen. Vor der Sakralbau dann die Dächer mehrere kleiner Häuser, die womöglich zu einem Kloster gehörten.

  • Description: Framed by shrubs and trees, the viewer is looking at a church or abbey church of which, it seems, only the foundation walls remain. No church or crossing tower can be seen. In front of the sacred building are the roofs of several small houses that may have belonged to a monastery.
