This listing is for a "ONE" Antique Oyster Plate. This Oyster Plate is a stunning find from a LaJolla Estate. The overall condition is quite remarkable.  This Four Well Ladies Oyster Plate is marked H&C DEPOSE and was Made in or around 1877 (we believe) for BAILEY BANKS & BIBBLE, a prestigious Jewler in Philadelphia. Our extensive research found a few plates with similar markings that appear to have come from the same unusual shaped mold. But this has a more intricate decorative deep rim.  It is embellished with gold gilding.  The only wear we can detect is likely some of that delicate gilding has worn a bit.  We see no chips, cracks, fleabites, fading, or crazing and to our surprise no apparent scratches though we did scrutinize.  If we missed anything it would have to be extremely minor and superficial. Multiples available. Approximately 8", x 8", x 1 1/8" deep. Thank You.
