  • Beschreibung: Aufwändig gestaltete Votivkarte mit feinem Prägedruck. Hinter dem Blumenbouquet eine Darstellung Mariens. In Begleitung einer weiteren weiblichen Figur trägt sie auf ihrer Brust ein flammendes Herz, welches ein Dolch durchstoßen hat, das heilige Herz Jesu. Votivkarten oder Votivbilder, nicht selten kunstfertig gestaltet, sind Votivgaben und damit Gegenstände, die aufgrund eines Gelübdes bzw. einer Verlobung als Dankesgabe für Errettung aus Not, Gefahr, von Krankheit u.a. öffentlich dargebracht werden. Die kleinformatigen Votivkarten enthalten in den meisten Fällen ein kleines Andachtsbild und sind mit aufwändigem Zierwerk gestaltet.   • Description: Elaborately designed votive card with fine embossed printing. Behind the bouquet of flowers a representation of Mary. Accompanied by another female figure, she carries a flaming heart on her chest which has been pierced by a dagger, the sacred heart of Jesus. Votive cards or votive pictures, not infrequently artistically designed, are votive offerings and thus objects that are publicly offered on the basis of a vow or betrothal as a thank-you gift for salvation from hardship, danger, illness and the like. The small-format votive cards usually contain a small devotional picture and are designed with elaborate ornamentation.
