  • Beschreibung: bezeichnet "M. Lämmel gest. Leipzig". Kniestück einer jungen Frau in prachtvoller Robe. Laut einer handschriftlichen Notiz könnte es sich um die Opernsängerin Jenny Lind (1820 Stockholm-1887 Malvern) handeln. Die Sängerin ging wegen ihres kontinentübergreifenden Erfolges auch als "Schwedische Nachtigall" in die Musikgeschichte ein.

  • Description: inscribed "M. Lämmel gest. Leipzig". Kneeling portrait of a young woman in a splendid gown. According to a handwritten note, this could be the opera singer Jenny Lind (1820 Stockholm-1887 Malvern). The singer also went down in music history as the "Swedish Nightingale" because of her success across continents.

  • Condition: Good condition. Discolourations in the area of the margin of the sheet, as well as on the left side in the area of the printing plate. Corners bumped, vertical crease marks on the left. On the reverse side residues of old glue, as well as discolourations in the area of the lower margin. The paper is rubbed along the upper margin.
