  • Beschreibung: Blick auf das Standbild Wilhelms III, einst von Friedrich DRAKE (1805 Bad Pyrmont-1882 Berlin) entworfen. Der König trägt keine Uniform mehr, sondern eine einfache zivile Kleidung. Er ist weniger als Monarch. denn als Naturfreund und stiller Spaziergänger im Sonntagsrock dargestellt. Das Sockelrelief schildert die "Segnungen des Friedens" und die Wohltaten des Königs für den Tiergarten.

  • Description: View of the statue of Wilhelm III, once designed by Friedrich DRAKE (1805 Bad Pyrmont-1882 Berlin). The king no longer wears a uniform, but simple civilian clothing. He is depicted less as a monarch than as a nature lover and quiet walker in a Sunday coat. The pedestal relief depicts the "Blessings of Peace" and the King's benefactions to the Tiergarten.
