Landschaftsdarstellung am Fluss bei Theux, in der Provinz Lüttich. Im Vordergrund der Darstellung sind Figuren zu erkennen, darunter ein Ochsengespann, sowie männliche Figuren bei der Rast am Wegesrand. Die Figurengruppe im Vordergrund gibt den Blick frei auf den Ausblick in die Landschaft, die durch bewaldete Hügel und Felsen dominiert wird.

  • Zustand: Guter Zustand. Ganzseitig kleinere Stockflecken und Verfärbungen. Der obere und untere Rand ist berieben und leicht beschädigt. Ein kleinerer Riss am oberen Rand, daneben drei kleine Löcher, vermutlich verursacht durch eine frühere Hängung. Die Ecken des Blattes sind zum Teil bestoßen. Rückseitig Verfärbungen besonders im Bereich der Darstellung.

  • Description: inscribed "J. Salmon del.t.", "Jn. Shury&Son sc.", titled below "View near Theux/Pres de Theux/In der Nähe von Theux". Landscape depiction at the river near Theux, in the province of Liège. Figures can be seen in the foreground of the depiction, including a team of oxen, as well as male figures resting by the wayside. The group of figures in the foreground provides a view of the landscape, which is dominated by wooded hills and rocks.

  • Condition: Good condition. Minor foxing and discolouration all over. The upper and lower margins are rubbed and slightly damaged. A smaller tear at the upper margin, next to it three small holes, probably caused by an earlier hanging. The corners of the sheet are partly bumped. Discolourations on the reverse, especially in the area of the image.
