Die Zeichnung stammt aus einer Sammlung von Historien- und Sagendarstellungen mit nordischen Szenen und Themen aus der Hand des dänischen Künstlers Rondahl, der sich besonders als Zeichner einen Namen gemacht hat. Er lieferte die Entwürfe für zahlreiche historische, archäologische und literarische Schriften.

  • Description: Full-length figure studies with standing old women and crouching warriors in medieval Nordic costume. The drawing is from a collection of history and saga depictions with Nordic scenes and themes from the hand of the Danish artist Rondahl, who made a name for himself especially as a draughtsman. He provided the designs for numerous historical, archaeological and literary writings.
