  • Bezeichnung: Unten im Druck bezeichnet: "EBarlach", einzeln datiert "28.6.1935", "2.7.1935". Rechts eine zu den übrigen Figuren gewandte stehende Figur, die Hände hinter ihrem verschränkt, trägt sie einen langen Schleier als Kopfbedeckung.

    Ernst BARLACH ist besonders durch seine Plastiken und Bronzen berühmt. Daneben sind aber auch zahlreiche zeichnerische Arbeiten des Künstlers überliefert, die nicht alle als Vorstudie für eine plastische Arbeit verstanden sein wollen. In der Mappe "Übungen der leichten Hand" versammelte Barlach 19 Blätter, die Standfiguren, vereinzelt, zu zweit oder in kleinen Gruppen, zeigen. Der Titel der Mappe ist überliefert und erschien 1965 im VEB Verlag der Kunst Dresden.

  • Beschreibung: Lichtdruck auf Papier. Darstellung dreier Figuren in langen Gewändern. Die linke Figur, ein Jüngling, trägt einen langen Mantel, dessen Saum durch den Wind aufgewirbelt zu sein scheint. Die mittige Figur scheint auf einem Vorsprung zu sitzen, die Hände hat sie auf ihre Knie gestützt, die Schultern leicht gehoben.

    Ernst BARLACH is particularly famous for his sculptures and bronzes. However, numerous drawings by the artist have also survived, not all of which are intended to be understood as preliminary studies for a sculptural work. In the portfolio "Übungen der leichten Hand" (Exercises of the Light Hand) Barlach assembled 19 sheets showing standing figures, singly, in pairs or in small groups. The title of the portfolio has been handed down and was published in 1965 by VEB Verlag der Kunst Dresden.
