  • Beschreibung: Nur stellenweise ins Reine gezeichnete Landschaftsstudie des dänischen Künstlers, die vermutlich bei einem Ausflug ins Grüne entstanden ist und als Skizze für ein Historienbild oder ähnliches gedient hat. Die Zeichnung stammt aus einer Sammlung von Historien- und Sagendarstellungen mit nordischen Szenen und Themen aus der Hand des dänischen Künstlers Rondahl, der sich besonders als Zeichner einen Namen gemacht hat. Er lieferte die Entwürfe für zahlreiche historische, archäologische und literarische Schriften.

  • Description: Landscape study by the Danish artist, drawn only in places to perfection, which was probably made during an excursion into the countryside and served as a sketch for a history painting or similar. The drawing comes from a collection of history and saga depictions with Nordic scenes and themes from the hand of the Danish artist Rondahl, who made a name for himself especially as a draughtsman. He provided the designs for numerous historical, archaeological and literary writings.

  • Condition: Good condition. The sheet is slightly discoloured due to its age and pale foxing in places. Slightly soiled at upper left. The corners are minimally bumped.
