Vehicle Details

1955 Austin Healey 100 with a V8 motor and trans from a 1960s Chevy passenger car. I purchased this car from a long close friend who had to go into a rest home. He converted it to the 60s V8 while living in Cali. And in 1973 they assigned it a clear title with a new number because the motor had been changed. SN is located on the drivers side Door jam and on the Rear drivers side frame rail. The motor is a rebuilt 283 Chevy engine. This car has been in dry storage for over 50 years. I have no knowledge of when the car was painted red. It was originally white. It looks good for a driver quality. I have spent last couple of years rebuilding and replacing parts to bring it back to life. It is a fun driver. It has good oil pressure. It does not smoke. It drives well and turns a lot of heads. The body is very solid. There were only 2 very small spots of rust in the back of the trunk which I have had repaired. It still needs some tinkering. I am no longer able to do it myself. The speedometer, tachometer, turn signals and windshield wipers are not working. I have a new boot included. I also have the original top bows complete with mechanism and side curtains and bumpers, all of which need reconditioning.  Heres your opportunity to own an iconic vehicle with a 1960s California car culture history.  Message for more pictures and videos of the car driving.
