This is a well detailed vintage model of a Vilmer 459 (1/50th) military Dodge Truck with Radar in military green with silver metal scanner and mounted gun.Condition is good plus and still a bright example in a good carded detailed picture box. Some minor paint loss and other age related issues.Please see photos.These models are very underrated.
Vilmer was founded by Kaj Christiansen around 1953. Before the war, he was a tool or instrument maker and also served as a policeman. Like many Danish policemen, he was sent to a concentration camp by the Nazis and luckily survived.When he returned to Copenhagen he set up the model business with a fellow policeman and partner.
