Offering a excellent sounding vintage 1940's ELECTRO VOICE V2 STUDIO RIBBON MICROPHONE with XLR connecting cable and desk stand. This first generation V2 mic is in excellent restored physical condition; nice black crinkle-finish paint on the lower cage, very clean wire mesh upper cage, new inner cloth, and nice upper chromed band and side thumbscrews. Notice the older type maker's Electro Voice badge, clear and sharp.
The original ribbon motor and transformer was no longer functioned, very common with these, so a new high quality ribbon professional low-z motor (figure-8 polar pattern with 1.8-micron, 2" long aluminum ribbon with powerful neodymium magnets) and transformer has been installed, producing wonderfully rich ribbon tone with strong output. (Audio sample can be heard on the listing video.) The tilt angle holds firmly on the original support yoke with side thumbscrews. INCLUDES a new 6' connecting cable terminating with a 3 pin male XLR plug. The heavy-based deco style Snyder desk stand is included. The mic itself is 8" tall and with the stand measures 13.5".

(We can swap the XLR plug for a 1/4" male phono plug at no charge.) NOTE: If you don't need the stand, we can trade that for free shipping. **  We offer combined shipping. **
