You are invited to bid on my beautiful 1957 Triumph TR3A. Please read the comprehensive description below and study the photographs as they form part of the description. A very carefully considered and reluctant sale due to approaching my 70th birthday, and using my modern car (BMW X5) more regularly + my 2 motorcycles.
I am a member of the TR Register and Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club and have been an avid classic car owner and enthusiast for nearly 50 years.
I purchased PSY 117 as a 'restored' car from Classic Chrome nearly 2 years ago for £30K (Receipt Held -See Photo).
The colour combination is lovely in Old English White with Red Trim and Chrome Wire Wheels.
Upon taking delivery I wanted a reliable classic car that went as good as it looked. My cursory inspection of the car found a few issues mechanically and I didn't like the uncomfortable seats and faded instrument dials. I guess a number of the problems were due to being in a showroom for some time and no useage.
Consequently I commisioned a well respected Classic Car Specialist in Ceredigion (Cambrian Classics) to go right through the car from head to toe. This resulted in a significant number of works required (Detailed Invoices Held showing all new parts and labour involved) in order to meet my exacting standards!!  The major one being the necessity for a complete engine rebuild due to bore scoring.
All in all, there are receipted works for around £17000 in parts/labour to bring it to the standard it is today.
I have preci'd most below, but may well have missed some bits!!!
Documents Held:-
  • V5 in my name
  • Current MOT (Although not required)
  • Invoices during my ownership
  • Classic Performance Ltd Photographic Record and Engine Rebuild "Spec Sheet"
  • Sales Invoice from Classic Chrome
  • Heritage Trust Factory Build Record
  • Triumph Sports Car Instruction Book (Original) at Five Shillings!
  • Some old mot's and invoices from previous owner
In total this wonderful example of a TR3A owes me nearly £50,000. I realise that in the current climate that I will take a significant loss on my investment, but my loss could be your gain. I am listing at a very low start in order to generate Genuine Interest and with No Reserve!!
Please do not bid if you do not have the funds available. No stupid messages regarding me ending early for a 'Cash Offer', it will run until the end. I cannot consider any swaps/px's and the car will not be released until any funds are clear in my account (Bank Transfer Only) No Cash, No Paypal obviously.
Any questions please ask, read my feedback for confidence. I am happy to take viewings by appointment.

NOTES:
  •  £500 (Non Refundable) deposit by bank transfer within 48 hours of placing a winning bid, balance again by bank transfer within 7 days of auction end. No bidders without +ive Feedback.
  • I am more than happy for any prospective buyer to contact Tim at Cambrian Classics (Ceredigion, West Wales)
  • Whilst the car is historic and is both tax/mot exempt, on completion of works in December it was mot tested with 'No advisories'

Despite putting in the description that I will not end this listing early, following 2 viewings I have been so asked. So to be clear, the car will sell to the highest bidder through ebay, apart from me advising members of the Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club that it is for sale, it is not advertised on any other platform. So to be fair to the present bidders and the high number of watchers so far this is wer this lovely example of a TR3A will sell. All I ask is not to be messed about. Thank you.
