Absolutely stunning true antique beaded flapper dress from the 1920s.

Petrol blue chiffon with a black skirt section. It is covered with black, grey and blue beading in intricate patterns.

Simple shift style with blue silk lining from the bust downwards.

Does up with poppers to one side.

19 inches armpit to armpit, 43 inches from the back of the neck to the hem.

Please note that as this is over 100 years old, as you would expect it has some issues. Do look at the photos closely. Some of the chiffon inside the shoulder straps and bust has worn away, however the outer layer is ok, so the inside could be reinforced with fusible interfacing.

Some of the beading is missing along the sides of the dress, and on the right shoulder. Some beads have fallen off which I have saved and will send with the dress. There are other beads missing here and there but as it is so heavily beaded this is not immediately obvious.

There are some marks under the arms and a few light marks here and there.

But overall, given its age it’s in amazing condition and could be worn after a bit of TLC.

It’s a really good size too unlike a lot of these old dresses. I would say it would be about a UK 14.

I have tried to capture any flaws in the photos and description but please do ask if you have any questions, or would like any measurements, as I don’t accept returns.

We do have a cat, but he is not allowed to wear our clothes.

Thanks for looking, and check out my other items as I am selling some beautiful pieces.
