Engraved by Gaucherel. [ Léon Gaucherel, born May 21, 1816 in Paris where he died January 7, 1886, is a French engraver and painter. In 1844, he became a master in the practice of etching - he was nicknamed "the father of etching"1 -, then gradually abandoned the production of original prints and around 1858 to turn to reproduction engraving ; ] Dixit Lemaître (Augustin François).
