This is an antique, double page, chromolithograph print from a political magazine that was quite popular in its day, PUCK, and very popular among political cartoon collectors today. This series of PUCK cartoons are clever, beautifully illustrated and provide an historical picture of the state of politics in 1895.

Text: FOR THEIR OWN GOOD (See pictures for smaller text)

Artist: PUGHE, signed in plate

Condition: EXCELLENT / VERY GOOD  — Clear, clean, colorful and bright; no foxing, creasing or folds (other than the centerfold), and very good margins, perfect for framing. A really beautiful image. Nice dark lines and definition. (NOTE: A few very small binding holes and a light water mark lower margin. Otherwise excellent. ANOTHER NOTE: THE PICTURES MAY BE  VERY LIGHT AND LOOK B&W. THE ACTUAL PRINT IS BRIGHTLY COLORED LIKE ALL MY PUCK PRINTS.)

This print is about 135 years old and guaranteed to be original. It’s an authentic old chromolithograph from the aforementioned publication, and not a modern reproduction.

The print is 13" x 20 1/2" with nice large margins.
This print is truly ready to be framed and preserved.
