This is a 1957-1960 vintage Voigtländer Vito I 35mm folding Camera with Voigtar 50mm f3.5 Lens and Compur-Rapid shutter. It's the first post-war version of this camera, differing from the earlier models which had a Compur shutter but otherwise much the same. The model number I wasn't actually marked on the camera, it is used by collectors and photography historians to distinguish it from later models. The shutter offers speeds of B, 1, 1/2, 1/5th, 1/10th, 1/25th, 1/50th, 1/100th, 1/250th, and 1/500th second. There is no flash synchronization. The lens has aperture settings from f3.5 to f16. Focus distances are marked from 1 metre to infinity. I'm supplying it in a cloth storage bag, I don't have the case or any accessories for it.

This is working well and is in excellent condition; there is very slight internal dust in the lens but no apparent fungus, the bellows has no light leaks (tested with a very bright LED source inside the camera in a darkened room), and the shutter works well at all speeds. There is a small dent on the camera back lock and some minor scuffs and marks, but no corrosion or significant damage. I have tested that film transport works but have not developed pictures.

Instructions for slightly later versions and a guide to the whole range can be downloaded here:

As usual I'm starting low and with no reserve. If you buy multiple items from me please request an invoice with combined postage before paying, I will always try to bring the costs down as much as I can. I do not make any profit on postage; some prices rose at the end of March.

International buyers: The postage price shown is based on an estimate of packed weight, around 550g; if it turns out to be cheaper than expected I will refund the excess. Because of problems with overseas post I have switched to tracked postal services for some items. If combined postage is used for multiple items (max 2Kg packed weight) the tracking fee is charged only once. Please note that eBay will add VAT or sales tax to the final price in the EU and some other countries.
