The Poetical Works of Thomas Gray with The Life of The Author, 1782.

Containing the odes and miscellanies of Thomas Gray, an English poet, letter-writer, classical scholar, and fellow at Pembroke College, Cambridge, with a biographical sketch.

The Poetical Works of Richard West, 1782.

A small collection of poetry from Richard West, an English barrister, judge, playwright, poet, and politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1721 to 1726.

Previously held in the library of Francis Edward Witts, an English clergyman, diarist, and magistrate.


CONDITION

In the original full tree calf binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the boards. A small crack to the front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Minor age toning to the endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.
