DESCRIPTION

Complete in two volumes.

Illustrated with a frontispiece and numerous images, many of which are full-page, to each volume.

A detailed commentary of the Franco-Prussian War or Franco-German War, a conflict between the Second French Empire and the North German Confederation led by the Kingdom of Prussia which lasted from 19th July 1870 to 28th January 1871.

Includes reference to: the address of citizens, naval action in the Baltic, observations on the campaign, daring reconnaissance, statements from government, tactical instruction, and more.


CONDITION

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light age toning to the extremities. The odd mark to the pages and scattered spotting to the first and last few pages.
