NEW ZEALAND GEORGE VI 1940 1 FLORIN SILVER COIN, ALMOST UNCIRCULATED, CERTIFIED BY NGC AU55. ONLY 500,000 MINTED, ONE OF THE TWO LOW MINTAGE AND KEY DATES OF THIS TYPE. Beautiful, well-struck, coin, with some very light even wear on the higher points. Some nice sharp detail. Scarce type in higher grades. Obverse has some natural silver/grey toning, but the reverse is near-brilliant with a touch of gold toning. A very nice example. KM-10.1. See images.
