Hello, and thank you for looking at my auction.  This auction is for ONLY the workbench, no other items or tools pictured.  This is an absolutely gorgeous continental/Scandinavian/Germanic Workbench.  It appears to be contrasting woods in either beech and Walnut or Cherry. I honestly can't quite tell.  This is not an accident, as the motif is carried through the entire design including the legs and the stretchers.  I wouldn't dream of selling it, except for the fact that my garage is too small to accommodate the 38 inch width of the shoulder vise protrusion. I thought I could make it work, but turns out, I can't!  I was able to clean up some of it to show how beautiful the wood looks, but I can''t even get around it to do the other side!

Downsides:
two of the feet sustained mild damage during moving.
The One large dovetail holding the shoulder vise protrusion has popped out a bit.  It was in a covered (but not damp proof) environment for a while before I got it, and while the other dovetails have settled back in from a swollen condition, this one has not.
Someone took a belt sander and made a divit in the top, as pictured.  Looks to be about an eighth.
One of the leg support pieces came unglued and needs to be re-glued.  I don't really have the room to work on it, or it would be already. The bottom support pieces of the legs should also be re--glued as they have started to separate.
The shoulder vise works, but is a little loose, the Tail vise needs two pieces re-glued to function properly.  The screw is mobile.  Both screws are metal.

If you wish to schedule a viewing, or have any questions, please contact me ahead of time.

This is PICKUP ONLY in Poughkeepsie, NY.   The top is loose and lifts off, and I can help load, but I can't load it myself.  It is simply too heavy.
