This is an unusual piece probably displayed in stores more often than in personal collections. This particular sign came from a collector's inventory from the 1980s - 1990s. We haven't been successful in discovering the history or exact age as there aren't that many found online. 

The sign is approximately 11-1/2" from top to bottom and 10" in length. It's made of plastic with a mirrored finish. The words "The Heritage Village Collection" grace the front of the sign. "© Department 56 inc ® " is in raised relief on the back of the sign. 

As to be expected, because the finish, there are some light scratches and smudges. Overall, it is in very good condition and is ready to be displayed by a new collector or fan of Dept. 56 villages.
