I don't have the patience to build model railways; but my brother did, and this is one of the splendid tomes which he collected.
It contains lucid explanations as to how track works in full size or model scale; and some wonderful pictures of The Real Thing.
The picture of Peterborough East in 1931 is a bit sad; there are now just two tracks there.

On the other hand, the author clearly knows that building track can be aggravating; so he has sprinkled in some splendid humour.

Condition: unfortunately there is some damp damage to the bottom right corner of most pages. I have photographed a typical ripple effect. This should not spoil your enjoyment of the book - none of the pages are stuck together - but to be an honest seller, I must declare it.
