Here is a rare and BEAUTIFUL 1947 vintage glass Glenmore's KENTUCKY TAVERN Bottled in Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey decanter. It's a cool little mid-century modern decanter in a diamond pattern starting from a 3 ½” base with a ringed body then repeating the diamond pattern on the shoulder where the federal disclaimer is embossed around the lower neck where it gracefully rises to a flared lip complete with a diamond glass stopper to 10” high.

It is clear and shiny clean, no chips, no cracks, it's awesome! The cork is half gone inside but the remainder holds the stopper as it should be.

These decanters were produced as an attractive alternative to the regular bottle and marketed for Christmas and Holiday sales - you can still find the colorful ads with a web search.

The user permit number on bottom of bottle, D 8 denotes that the bottle is from 1947 and is from the Glenmore brand of whiskey, this one being KENTUCKY TAVERN. This decanter is 77 years old!
