2x layers of air dry ultra matte varnish 

(the air dry varnish leaves the doll with a really soft skin-like feel!) 

1x layer of air dry stain varnish on the lips, nostrils, ear insides and nails

Baby details 

deep blue veins that run under the layers of flesh and mottling 

Red blushing on cheeks, nose edges, chin, mouth, ears, hands, feet, knees and elbows

Red and flesh coloured mottling to add layers of life to the skin 

red creases to add dept to the doll especially in the hands and feet 

Hair 

Beautiful and very delicate brown painted hair. Sam has eyebrows and hand rooted brown eyelashes!

Eyes

Magnet 

Yes. Sam has a magnet for his dummy. Please keep these magnets away from pacemakers and electrical appliances. 

Weighting and Stuffing 

All the weighting is achieved by using thermally dried and sterilised sand. The following parts of the doll are weighted for realism; the head, bottom, legs up to the knees and arms up to the elbows. I put the sterilised sand in plastic bags when I weight my dolls 

For the stuffing I use virgin fibre fill. This ensures the body is nice and cuddly! The following parts of the doll have been stuffed; the head, torso, bottom, arms from the elbows to the shoulders and the legs from the knees to the thighs. 

Due to this weighting and stuffing combination you will need to support the doll the same as you would a newborn baby.
