Akai S6000 Sampler PLUS Apple G4 Powerbook PLUS SCSI CD Player

Where to start with this professional industry standard Akai S6000 sampler in excellent condition used in my home studio (smoke & pet free).  These are becoming harder to find, and this one has the all important USB card and 128 voice expansion card.

These really are the top tier of hardware samplers and are relevant still today - evidencing the quality and features of this amazing machine.

Key features:

Akai S6000
- 72 Mb memory
- 17Gb internal hard drive
- FX board installed
- 128 voice expansion card
- All important USB card (to connect to a laptop)
- 2 x midi in 2 x midi out 2 x midi thru
- 16 direct outs
- Spdif digital out
- SCSI port
- XLR balanced in
- XLR balanced out
- Removable front display panel for working at your desk away from the sampler (I have a 7ft display extension lead)

Apple G4 Powerbook
- 1.25Ghz G4 power PC chip
- 1.5Gb memory (WOW!!)
- 32gb hard drive
- Ak.sys installed (as the only programme)
   - Ak.sys lets you control the sampler over USB so you can load samples (drag and drop) directly from the laptop into the S6000.
   - with Ak.sys you have exactly the same controls as if you were using the front panel, but on a larger screen.
   - If you Google "ak.sys" you'll learn all about it.
- I only purchased the laptop to use solely with the sampler, hence only Ak.sys is installed on it.
- As you would expect, this is an old laptop so don't expect lightning speed, however it is more than capable of being used with the S6000.

SCSI CD drive
- A CD drive that connects to the S6000 via the SCSI port
- Can load sample directly from CDs (ideal for ripping samples....erm...once you have cleared permission from the artist eh?).

So, this is an ideal sampling set up for your studio - all leads and connections included.  For further detailed information (I could fill up the word count quite easily!) you can Google the Sound On Sound review of the S6000.

This is collection ONLY as it is a beast.

More than happy to answer any questions you may have.
