Description :- Ray Ban “The Worlds’ Finest Sunglasses” These are Vintage Ray Ban B&L U.S.A. W1273 Tortoise Wayfarer Max Sunglasses. These Ray Bans have gold plated side inserts on the bottom of the frame and G15 Grey/Green impact resistant 100 % UV protection lenses. B&L laser etched on each lens ,B&L Ray Ban U.S.A. on inside of right arm and Wayfarer Max on inside of left arm. They have been ultrasonically cleaned and refurbished. Carefully packaged and delivered with a their original B&L Wayfarer carrying case.
One of Ray Bans most popular models with a timeless style that has been imitated time and time again over the years.
Size :-
Width bewteen hinges 145 mm. Distance from hinge to end of arm tips 130 mm. Width of lenses 54 mm. I would consider these Ray Bans to be large sized Ray.
Condition :-
Overall excellent condition. The frame retains most of its’ shinniness with only some slight wear on the interior. The lenses have one or two very light scratches but nothing that effects vision.
Vintage
Ray Bans are becoming very collectable and a wise form of investment.

Ray Ban history :-
In 1929, US
Army Air Corps Lieutenant General John MacCready asked Bausch &
Lomb, a Rochester, New York-based medical equipment manufacturer, to
create aviation sunglasses that would reduce the distraction for
pilots caused by the intense blue and white hues of the sky.
From
1937 until 1999 Ray Bans were american owned but were sold to
Luxoticca in Italy from then on for 640 million dollars.
Early
models do not have BL engraved .Later models do have BL engraved and
in the 1980s Ray Ban was to be found on the right lens in an attempt
to counteract imitations. There are many models of american Ray Bans
some of which can be very rare and always of the hignest
quality.

Largeur entre charnières 145 mm. Distance de la charnière à l'extrémité des extrémités des bras 130 mm. Largeur des lentilles 54 mm. Je considérerais ces Ray Ban comme des Ray de grande taille.
État :-
Excellent état général. Le cadre conserve la majeure partie de sa brillance avec seulement une légère usure à l'intérieur. Les lentilles ont une ou deux rayures très légères mais rien qui n'affecte la vision.
