This is a Danelectro made Sears Silvertone model 1448 made in Neptune City New Jersey in the early 60's. This is a very rare "under the bed" find from an estate sale. Because of the great original condition of this guitar, I did not take it apart to age it. Everything is stock from the factory including the plastic grommet on the guitar cable that keeps it plugged in! You do not see many for sale that has that grommet still intact from the factory. The guitar cable is also plugged into the amp and may have come from the factory plugged in! Everything on the guitar works as it should and the amp works well. Being an all original tube amp from the early 60's, It sounds as expected. I did not clean it up because I did not want to change a thing on this guitar or amp. It is just as it came from the factory and was shoved under a bed some sixty something years ago. It has the stock aluminum nut, and factory installed "Danelectro made" unique tuning pegs that are working properly. And the time period correct rosewood fingerboard and string saddle. No rips or scratches in the case inside or out! This is a true gem! And as you can see in the photos. There is some light coloring on the white pickguard that looks like you can clean it off with guitar polish. NO RESERVE! It will sell to highest bidder!
