Brought up in Africa and educated at Eton. He followed his father's footsteps into the Scots Greys before joining the elite SAS Regiment. In his time, he was the youngest Captain in the British Army, but was dismissed for blowing up the film set of "Doctor Doolittle". For the next two years he served a a volunteer with the Sultan of Oman's force, fighting communist Guerillas in the Gulf.
